Chapter Improvement Project of the Year
House of the Quarter/Year.
After initiating several stages of our capital campaign, we are excited to
announce the hiring of a Fundraising Coordinator to oversee the final phase.
Markham Carr, a 1991 Tau Chapter alum, has more than four years of professional
fundraising experience. We welcome Brother Carr’s expertise, enthusiasm, and

Our current pledges total $930,000 towards our total campaign goal of $1.5
million. In addition to construction costs, this figure includes payoff off
the previously existing mortgage on the house. Mr. Carr will strive to raise
an additional $300,000 in pledges by June 30, 2004. These funds will help us
to achieve a break even point between the mortgage and rental of the chapter house.
This next phase of the campaign will consist of a continuation of our Large
Gift Campaign, a new Pledge Class Representative Drive, Undergraduate
telemarketing, and fundraising events such as the Founders Day weekend on February 21, 2004.
We are proud that our house is completely renovated and looking better than
it has in decades. A long term management plan is in place to protect our
investment far into the future. And most importantly, twenty-five active
brothers can now call 106 Fraternity Court home.
Our work is not yet complete. We must continue to seek alumni support to
see this campaign to fruition. For this reason we will be asking those brothers
who haven’t given to contribute at this time. And we will encourage those who
have finished their pledges to re-pledge for another three years.
We can achieve our financial goals, and we need your support!!
