With a campaign goal of over $1.5 million, it is imperative that we have total
participation from all brothers who have shared in the Pi Kappa Alpha experience.
To this end, we established and launched a three-phase plan to raise the necessary
funds for the project. We have worked under every phase and must continue to reach
all alumni. ALL PHASES ARE ONGOING!
Phase One: Major Gifts
Major gifts were solicited from approximately 75 of the highest potential donors. These
solicitations were coordinated by our professional development staff and members of
the Tau Chapter Building Corporation Fundraising Committee. Phase One of the
campaign was launched in late fall of 2000.
Phase Two: Class-Based Gifts
Class representatives and/or other designated brothers contacted their classmates to
ask for their support for the campaign. During this phase additional major prospects
were identified and solicited by the professional staff and Fundraising Committee. Phase
Two was launched in the winter of 2001.
Phase Three: Broad-Based Solicitation of Brothers
During Phase Three we used direct mail and phone contact to solicit any brothers
who had not been directly solicited by the professional staff and steering committee. Phase
Three was launched in late 2001.
